Career Readiness 4-Year Plan
The National Association of Colleges & Employers (NACE) defines career readiness as the demonstration of 8 core competencies that broadly prepare the college-educated for success in the workplace and lifelong career management.
At Alfred University, undergraduate students can use this 4-year plan to get career-ready. You can start anytime, but it’s best to work on your career readiness early and often. Career counselors and advisors at the Career Development Center are ready to work with you! Make an appointment using Handshake.
Proactively develop oneself and one’s career through continual personal and professional learning, awareness of one’s strengths and weaknesses, navigation of career opportunities and networking to build relationships within and without one’s organization.
Sample Behaviors
