Bonnie Ye
When Bonnie Ye arrived at Alfred University, she was uncertain of her major but was still determined to find a field suited to her preferences. After taking a calculus class, she decided to major in accounting which accommodated both her aptitude for mathematics and provided her with a good standing in the job market. After graduation, she worked as an internal auditor, a financial analyst, and, later, as an accountant.
Here senior year, Bonnie earned the prestigious accolade of Marlin Miller Outstanding Senior. Following graduation from Alfred, Bonnie attended Columbia University and earned her Master’s Degree in higher education administration. She most recently worked as an internal auditor at Yale University, conducting internal audits and evaluations of Yale’s system of internal controls, including assessments of the reliability of departmental financial information, compliance with University policies and procedures, compliance with laws and regulations, the safeguarding of assets and the effectiveness and efficiency of operations.
To further improve herself in an ever-evolving field, Bonnie continues to take classes, earn professional certifications, and network with others. One day, she hopes to find a career that allows her to work with students, as that is what she enjoys doing most. Bonnie and her family now reside in San Diego, CA.
