Alfred Provides The Perfect Balance
Bradley Keogh had been living in England until just two weeks before classes at AU started. Though he had never been to campus before, he instantly fell in love when he arrived. “Alfred has a historic charming quality that reminds me of home–and it is so small you can’t help but get that instant community feel,” he says.
Bradley’s father received a track and field scholarship at Alfred University, and though circumstances led him to join the Navy instead, he recommended that his son apply. Once accepted, Bradley decided to earn his B.S. in Mathematics, his B.A. in Physics and to minor in Astronomy. Bradley holds four jobs on campus. In addition to working at the Information Desk and Herrick Library Circulation Desk, he assists students as a Physics Lab TA. He also helps operate Alfred’s observatory during open-house nights.
As President of the Student Senate as well as the Student Senate Finance Chair, Bradley enjoys spending time with staff members at the Center for Student Involvement. When he needs a quiet space to do homework or relax, Bradley prefers to unwind in the Senate Office, Physics study room or his single room at Joel’s House.
Bradley would love to work in an office or one day become the CFO of a large company. However, he also has a connection with nature and appreciates travel. Bradley is ultimately keeping his post-graduation plans open, preparing to embrace whatever opportunities may come his way.
